The artist Katsushika Hokusai was a Japanese painter and printmaker who is best known as the author of the woodblock print series Thirty-six Views of Mount Fuji which includes the internationally recognised print, The Great Wave off Kanagawa, created during the 1820s. If you like Japan and Japanese art then Hokusai rocks.
