Poster advertising Velocette motor bikes, from a catalogue, 1936. Three friends chat in the evening sun; one is sitting on the Velocette. In the background is a side-car model, with two more people at a campfire, and tents behind. Velocette was a British manufacturer. It started producing vehicles in 1910 and during the 1920s and 1930s concentrated on racers. After WWII the company moved to producing more conservative road machines and closed in 1971.
