Plate 11 in the section 'G.Poulpe' from the book Histoire naturelle generale et particuliere des cephalopodes acetabuliferes vivants et fossiles.., by André Étienne d'Audebert de Férussac (1786-1836) and Alcide Charles Victor Marie Dessalines d'Orbigny (1802-1857) (Paris, 1848). Various inscriptions, including below: 'Verany de Nice, delin. L de Benard Blanchard et lapid. delin. O.Vulgaria, Lam. Hors de l'eau et marchant sur la plage.'Original: lithograph, 1848
