Letter from soldier and statesman Arthur Wellesley, Duke of Wellington, to General Rowland Hill, expressing regret at being compelled to resign his office of Commander in Chief on becomming First Lord of the Treasury, and offering it to Lord Hill with the title of Senior General upon the Staff.
