Our framed prints
Every framed picture is created by hand in our workshop by specialist framers.
Black, white, silver, gold or natural frames available, supplied ready to hang.
All our frames have a smooth satin finish, and measure 20mm (front face) by 23mm (depth from wall).

Delivery & returns
We print everything to order so delivery times may vary but all framed pictures are despatched within 3 days.
Delivery to the UK, EU & US is free when you spend £75. Otherwise, delivery to the UK costs £10 for a single framed print.
We will happily replace your order if everything isn’t 100% perfect.

Carbo oxygenizatus
Two specimens of Denbigh coal from Denbighshire in Wales, here termed 'oxygenized carbon'. Plate 49 from British mineralogy: or coloured figures intended to elucidate the mineralogy of Great Britain, by James Sowerby, volume 1 (London, R.Taylor & Co., 1804). The accompanying text states that 'There is little doubt of the Denbigh caol being nearly as pure an oxide of carbon as is likely to be found...fracture and the prismatic hues for which this coal is famous, have naturally gained it the appellation of Peacock coal...' The plate is inscribed: 'Novr. 1 1803. Published by Jas. Sowerby, London.
